The windermere cup got its start in 1987, when windermere real estate founder john jacobi joined up with the university of washington to expand the annual rowing event that was part of the seattle.

The next edition of the giorgio armani superyacht regatta will be held from 4 to 8 june 2024. Crews from the italian national team will be in seattle to challenge the men and women’s crews from the university of washington and the university of wisconsin.
